Dr. Teodoro Nissen is a UCSF-trained orthopedic surgeon with an expertise in sports medicine and sports trauma reconstructive joint surgery. His practice focuses on arthroscopic reconstruction and joint replacement surgeries of the shoulder, hip and knee. Dr. Nissen's surgical expertise also includes the Birmingham Hip Resurfacing procedure. He is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and is a state-certified Qualified Medical Examiner (QME) who examines injured workers in the evaluation of worker's compensation claims. He has a special interest in providing care for underserved communities and has worked with St. Luke’s Hospital in San Francisco, Operation Rainbow, the Marin County Clinic, San Francisco General Hospital, and the Institute for Global Orthopedics and Traumatology.

Joseph M. Centeno, M.D.

Dr. Joseph Centeno is a Stanford University-trained orthopedic surgeon with additional subspecialty certification in sports medicine.  He is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and is a member of the Arthroscopy Association of North America. His expertise is in knee and shoulder surgeries. Dr. Centeno is trained in the latest techniques involving arthroscopy, ligament and tendon repair, joint replacement (including reverse shoulder replacement) and cartilage resurfacing. The focus of his practice is the comprehensive diagnosis and treatment of orthopedic disorders. From simple arthroscopy to total joint replacement, Dr. Centeno utilizes minimally invasive techniques and a sports medicine philosophy of returning patients to normal activity as quickly as possible.
